For foodies in Salem region, the opening of Cross Town Eatery today was the biggest event of the year.
The largest food court in the entire region, Cross Town Eatery has come up on the Salem-Bangalore Highway at the Vennankudi Muniappan Temple Bus Stop. Some of the biggest Indian and MNC food chains are setting up counters in the spacious court. Café Coffee Day, Tirupur Shree Annapoornaa (Vegetarian Restaurant) and Pure Juice were thrown open today. Shortly, Mc Donald’s, KFC, Pizza Hut, Anjappar, Cream Store (Ice Cream), Red e zone, Cherry on Top, CIBO and French Fries are moving in, informed Jegadeesan' the promoter of Cross Town Eatery.

With the multiple food vendors, cuisines and choices varied, Cross Town Eatery is aimed to become the people's main coice of eating out, said S.Vishweshwaran (Projects). " This is one of its kind in South India being the biggest food malls to be set up on a highway. Currently the court operates on a 19,000 square feet space which will soon be enlarged to 25,000 square. Besides a food court, Cross Town Eatery is envisioned as a complete entertainment joint in future. Sathiyam Cinemas has plans to open theaters in the complex, said Vishweshwaran.
