February 1 A group of volunteers from Germany, Switzerland, Bolivia and Finland aged between 18 to 25 years from ICDE – INDIA, (Inter Cultural Dailouge and Exchange - India) Bangalore, participated in save environment campaign organised by NGO's, REEDS, ROSE, Mother Charitable Trust and Rural life support Trust Cooperation in association with Yercaud Panchayath Union member and Yercaud City Police.
The campaign started with visiting tribal community to understand their culture and life which was part of rural area development programme. Later on the volunteers planted trees in front of Yercaud city Police station. Inspector of Police Anand, REEDS Director Dr. Robert, Mother Charitable trust Director Mr. Pugallendhi, ROSE NGO Mrs. Selvi Rural Life support trust Director Mr. Arul Rosario.
Following this campaign ICDE – INDIA has plans to extend their social service in Tamilnadu said by ICDE – INDIA Program Co coordinator.
ICDE – India (Inter Cultural Dailouge and Exchange and India) networks with similar and like – minded organizations in India and around the globe. It offers young people the oppurtunity to spend one year abroad, participating in a program designed to facilitate and exchange among nations, as a means to promote Peace, Inter-cultural understanding and cross cultural learning. This is done through direct personal involvement and international volunteer work through national committees, co-workers, host families, community development projects, friends and others said the organisors.
