The National Disaster Response Force (NDRF), 4th Battalion, Arakonam performed a mock rescue demonstration of earthquake aftermath at Salem Steel Plant.

Led by Deputy Commandant Mr. Rajan Balu, 42 soldiers performed the demonstration at the plant. The demonstration was organized by the Central Industrial Security Force, Salem Steel Plant unit by its Deputy Commandant Shri S Vaithiyalingam.

Rescue from ruins of buildings and first aid was done by the NDRF personnel during the three and a half hours long demonstration
