A day after she re-joined her college in Salem, love jihad victim Hadiya seemed thoroughly disappointed with her situation questioning whether she was going to be in yet another prison.
To media persons with whom she was allowed to briefly interact at the college portico this morning, this how she let her feelings flow. “I need freedom. I need to meet the person I love”.
She continued,” I wanted to meet my husband. I am asking fundamental rights. I asked for freedom from court. Till now I did not get freedom. I don’t know if this is going to be another prison.
The College doesn’t have clarity on court order. We have to wait for a few more days.
I have no phone. I‘ve not contacted anyone whom I wanted so far. For six months I was put up with people who I hate. They only tried to convert me. My own parents said I am mentally unstable.
I spoke to my dad. I wasn’t able to speak to my husband. I had no TV. So many restrictions. I’ve waited so long. People will say I can wait some more".
College principal Dr. G.Kannan who has been directed by the Supreme Court to be her guardian, said that Hadiya was taken care of well and she was progressing. As regards the issues she has raised, he quipped that her progress will be gradual process. The college has written to the Dr.MGR Medical University to give clearance for her to continue her 11 month internship he said.
