Silver merchant Natrajan 56 and his wife Chandrakala 48 were found dead in a mysterious manner today late evening at their residence in Narasingapuram Street in Gugai.
The coupel have two sons one of whom is setteld abroad and another son in Bangalore. Natarajan had property dispute with his brother Vijayaraghavan who ives in the first foor of the house. The father of the two Kabini Somadundaram ived with Natarajan. Kabini Somadundaram is said to have given the house to Natarajan's son due to which Vijayaraghavan was not in good terms with Natarajan and his wife, it was said. On friday evening the door of the house was locked from inside for a long time and as neighbours and relatives grew suspecious, broke into the house and found Natarajan and Chandrakala dead. On being informed the Shevaipet police arrived and began investigations.
From preliminary investigations police found that the coupe had consumed poison and rushed them to the Saem GH. But they were decred brought-dead by the doctors.
The police made inquiries with the relatives and neighbours and found that Natarajan's brother Vijayaraghavan fied a case in the court disputing the property settement. The case was pending in the court.
Today Natarajan had been to the court for a hearing where he is said to have had a quarell with his brother. It was after this incident the coupe returned home and consumed poison say the poilice. The poilice recovered a etter written by Natarajan in the house in which he had mentioned that he was mentay disturbed with his brother 's frequent fight over the property .He had also sent a letter to his son Arun Prakash in Bangaore that he and his mother were going to consume poison and die.
