In a rare and speedy action, a Sub Inspector of Police restored the lost bags containing NEET exam hall tickets of a group candidates who came to Salem to write exam on May 5.
According to Salem City police sources, a group of girls from Dharmapuri who came to Salem to write NEET exams arrived at the new bus stand and while waiting there an unidentified person snatched their bags. The girls lodged a complaint at the Police Station in the bus stand following which a search was launched.
Sub Inspector Ayub Khan searched the bus stand thoroughly and spotted a person with some bags. He caught the person who was identified as Dinesh Kumar of Shevaipet.
On checking it was found that the bags possessed by Dinesh belonged to the girls who lodged the complaint. The police quickly resotred to the girls, the bags containing the NEET hall tickets. The quick action of the police helped the girls go to reach the exam centres in timely gesture did not go unrewarded.
The Commissoner of Police K.Shankar appreciated Ayub Khan with a gift.
